Chicken Tortilla Wrap with Amapelepele-Spiced Fries
A bold and juicy chicken tortilla wrap paired with fire-kissed Amapelepele fries—street-style comfort with a proudly South African twist.
Ingredients
- Tortilla wraps
- Mayonnaise
- Lettuce (shredded)
- Red onion (sliced)
- Bell peppers (sliced)
- Tomatoes (sliced)
- Cheese (grated)
- Chicken fillet
Amapelepele Spice Blend (for chicken & fries):
- Chip Spice
- Smoked Paprika
- Chicken Spice
- Spice o Seasoning
- A bit of oil (for mixing)

Cooking Instructions
1. Prep the Spice Blend
- In a small bowl, combine Chip Spice, Smoked Paprika, Chicken Spice, and Spice o Seasoning.
- Add a bit of oil to form a paste and mix until smooth.
2. Marinate & Cook Chicken
- Rub the spice mixture generously over the chicken fillet.
- Air-fry at 180–200°C until cooked through and lightly crisped (about 15–20 minutes depending on size).
3. Warm Your Tortillas
- Microwave each tortilla for about 30 seconds to make it soft and pliable.
4. Build the Wrap
- Spread mayonnaise over each warm tortilla.
- Layer with lettuce, red onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cheese.
- Slice the cooked chicken and add it as the final layer.
5. Make the Fries
- Cook or reheat your chips/fries.
- Toss with the remaining Amapelepele Spice Blend while hot.
6. Serve & Enjoy
- Roll the tortilla tightly and slice if needed.
- Serve with a side of fire-kissed fries and let that flavor speak for itself.
